In this role you drive regional airfreight volume by winning and growing mid- to large-sized accounts with ongoing airfreight needs. You will leverage long-standing relationships and market insights to tailor end-to-end solutions, working cross-functionally to ensure service excellence and competitive pricing. The position focuses on pharma/healthcare, aviation, automotive, and high-tech verticals, offering meaningful impact through strategic sales and account development. You will engage with global teams to shape outcomes and participate in industry events to strengthen our brand.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure mid- to large-sized customers (250+ tons/annum) with significant airfreight volumes and develop strategic sales plans
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships to retain customers, expand share of wallet, and negotiate long-term agreements
  • Provide tailored end-to-end airfreight solutions and guidance on export regulations, loading methods, crating, handling, and equipment needs
  • Collaborate with Product, Procurement, Operations, Credit, and International Offices to ensure service excellence, pricing competitiveness, credit approvals, and timely collections
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify opportunities and drive year-over-year tonnage growth
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasts, and keep CRM updated on opportunities and activities
  • Represent the company at industry events and market updates to strengthen brand presence and support global account development

Key requirements

  • At least 5 years of proven success in an airfreight business development position with key accounts
  • Track record of securing, managing, and growing airfreight business with mid- to large-sized accounts (250+ TEU's/annum) beyond spot shipments in the past 12 months
  • Proven ability to negotiate and consultatively sell to mid- and large-sized accounts and manage executive-level relationships
  • Deep understanding of global airfreight operations, origin/destination handling, capacity management, Incoterms, and trade compliance; ability to design end-to-end logistics solutions from first to last mile
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain (preferred)
