In this role you drive airfreight volume growth in a designated region by acquiring and developing mid- to large-sized customers with regular airfreight needs. You will lead strategic sales, leverage long-standing relationships, and tailor end-to-end logistics solutions. You work cross-functionally to ensure service excellence, pricing competitiveness, and timely collections, while staying attuned to market trends. Responsibilities
- Identify and secure mid- to large-sized customers (250+ tons/annum) with significant airfreight volumes
- Develop strategic sales plans and meet/exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships to retain customers and expand share of wallet
- Design end-to-end airfreight solutions including export guidance, loading methods, and special equipment needs
- Collaborate with Product, Procurement, Operations, Credit, and International Offices to ensure service excellence and timely actions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and drive tonnage growth
- Maintain robust sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts with CRM updates
- Represent the company at industry events and market updates to strengthen brand presence
Key requirements
- At least 5 years in airfreight business development with key accounts
- Proven track record of securing and growing airfreight business with 250+ TEUs/annum in the past 12 months
- Proven ability to negotiate and sell to mid- and large-sized accounts and manage executive relationships
- Deep understanding of global airfreight operations, capacity management, Incoterms, and trade compliance, with ability to design end-to-end logistics solutions
