In this role you will support a nationally recognized real estate practice by handling sophisticated commercial transactions. You will work within a collaborative team on acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing for a broad mix of asset classes, including mixed-use, condo, and multifamily projects. You will engage directly with clients, contribute to business development, and help navigate complex regulatory matters and multi-jurisdictional deals. Compensation / Benefits
- Competitive salary: $215,000–$250,000

Responsibilities
- Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing)
- Assist with development projects (mixed-use, condominium, multifamily)
- Advise on local and federal regulatory issues affecting real estate deals
- Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, development agreements, and related documents
- Coordinate multi-jurisdictional transactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct legal research and prepare client-ready memoranda and transaction summaries
- Participate in client meetings, industry events, and business development initiatives
Key requirements
- JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in DC, Maryland, and/or Virginia in good standing
- 1–4 years of substantive experience in commercial real estate transactions
- Experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing
- Exposure to mixed-use, condominium, and multifamily projects
- Familiarity with real estate regulatory matters (TOPA, ROFRs, rent control) preferred
- Strong background in reviewing title insurance, surveys, and due diligence materials
- Exceptional legal research, drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to superior client service with interest in direct client contact and business development opportunities
