Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
Perform patient assessments and determine appropriate radiation approaches
Utilize CT, MRI, and PET imaging to target tumors and plan treatments
Safely administer radiation therapy per established protocols
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Educate patients and families about treatment and side effects
Pursue ongoing professional development and stay updated on advances
Contribute to research and clinical trials and apply evidence-based practices
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation in compliance with standards

Key requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Residency in Radiation Oncology from an accredited institution
Board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology
Valid medical license to practice in the jurisdiction
Strong clinical expertise in designing and delivering radiation therapy
Excellent communication skills with patients and families
Commitment to patient-centered, safe, high-quality care
Proficiency with medical software, EHR, and treatment planning systems
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and engage in professional development
