In this role you will drive R&D activities for high voltage circuit breakers, bridging concept and series implementation. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical alignment and document development progress. You will supervise prototype handling and contribute to improving R&D processes. This position offers exposure to world-leading experts in a dynamic, international environment and the chance to impact the next generation of high voltage technology.

Responsibilities

  • Execute product-development activities for specific R&D projects from concept to series implementation
  • Support the Design Lead in product development topics and ensure structured documentation of development activities
  • Plan and supervise assembly, disassembly and inspection of prototypes with other experts
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of R&D processes and activities

Key requirements

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related subject
  • Working experience in an R&D environment is a plus
  • Experience in project management is a plus
  • Good know-how in 3D CAD and FEM software tools
  • High expectations on quality of work
  • Independent, proactive and goal-oriented personality
  • Practically oriented and hands-on way of working
  • Self-motivated and committed with willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent command of English and German, both written and spoken
