As Quality Director, you lead the site's quality function to enable growth while upholding aerospace standards. You translate strategy into action, guiding Quality Assurance and Quality Control, and acting as AS9100 Management Representative. You partner with site leadership to embed quality, safety, and continuous improvement in every process. You drive data-driven improvements and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and authorities. This role offers impact at scale within an international, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the site quality strategy aligned to business objectives
- Lead and coach the Quality organization across QA and QC
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP and customer-specific requirements; act as AS9100 Management Representative
- Oversee product quality, including inspection, conformity assessment, and product release
- Drive process and performance improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision making
- Challenge PDCA discipline, SMART action setting, system thinking, and embedding improvement structurally
- Serve as primary contact for customers, suppliers, and authorities regarding quality and compliance
- Monitor and steer quality KPIs, risks, and audit outcomes and translate into improvement programs
- Foster ownership, transparency, and collaboration across the site
- Contribute to site leadership and strategic decision making
Key requirements
- Seasoned quality leader with experience in aerospace or other highly regulated industries
- Strategic thinker capable of turning vision into action
- Strong people leader who can inspire, coach, and drive change
- Excellent communicator who builds trust and alignment
- Analytical, decisive, and committed to continuous improvement
- Technical bachelor’s or master’s degree
- At least 10 years of relevant quality management experience
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards and certifications
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred)
- Fluency in Dutch and English
