In this role you will lead the Purchasing Department to ensure reliable raw materials, packaging, and vendor performance in support of food production. You will partner with production, sales, QC, and customers to drive cost efficiency, compliance, and timely sourcing while scaling procurement operations. The position focuses on safeguarding supply chain continuity and quality through strong supplier management and cross-functional collaboration. This is a chance to shape procurement strategy in a growth-oriented food manufacturer.

Responsibilities
- Lead the Purchasing Department (3–4 staff) and oversee all purchasing activities, policies, systems, and personnel; ensure adherence to internal controls, SQF, and audit standards
- Forecast raw material needs, optimize inventory, manage system and non-system purchases, and proactively resolve shortages or supply disruptions
- Source ingredients and packaging, manage approved vendors, negotiate pricing via cost analysis and bidding, monitor POs to meet production timelines
- Coordinate with production, sales, QC, and customers; manage purchasing documentation, private label packaging and label development; ensure accurate reporting and communication
Key requirements
- Bachelor
- CPSM, CPP, and/or APICS certifications a plus
- 7+ years in high-volume food production
- 3+ years managing personnel in purchasing/procurement
