In this role you provide outpatient psychological care for children, adolescents, and families, collaborating with psychiatry and training programs. You apply evidence-based therapies to diverse presentations and lead group psychoeducation, while teaching, supervising, and contributing to research. You will balance clinical duties with academic and program development within CMSRU and CUH. This is a mission-driven opportunity to shape youth mental health care through delivery, teaching, and scholarly activity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for children, adolescents, and families with diverse symptomatology using empirically validated interventions
  • Conduct psychological assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy in an outpatient setting
  • Lead or co-facilitate psychoeducational groups
  • Prepare and present professional trainings (e.g., Grand Rounds, faculty development)
  • Supervise Psychiatry residents (PGY3/4) and mentor medical students; engage in psychology internship programs
  • Participate in psychology training programs with externs, pre-doctoral interns, and post-doctoral fellows
  • Maintain timely clinical notes in EMR; administer and compile psychological reports; ensure NJ licensure
  • Engage in didactics, group supervision, and collaboration with Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine teams
  • Contribute to teaching duties for CMSRU courses and supervision of medical students; pursue academic appointments based on performance
  • Participate in child and adolescent behavioral health research, including grant activities and dissemination

Key requirements

  • Experience with child and adolescent populations
  • Experience with trauma-exposed youth preferred
  • Post-doctoral training in child and adolescent psychology preferred
  • New Jersey licensure (or license eligible)
