In this hospital-employed role, you provide comprehensive psychiatric care within a multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team at Lower Bucks Hospital. You will perform evaluations, diagnose conditions, and manage treatment plans in inpatient and/or consult-liaison settings, collaborating with nurses, social workers, and physicians. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients
- Manage psychiatric conditions through evidence-based medication management and treatment planning
- Deliver care in an inpatient and/or consult-liaison setting (based on program needs)
- Collaborate with nursing, social work, therapists, hospitalists, and case management
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation
- Comply with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and all state and federal regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
Key requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain
- DEA license or eligibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based, team-oriented environment
