As Manager ILS Proposals, you lead the ILS team within the Proposals department to deliver timely, high-quality naval vessel proposals. You drive the development and professionalization of the proposal process, coordinating with Engineering, R&D, and Purchasing. Your work ensures compliance with industry standards and customer requirements, while advancing efficiency and cross-functional collaboration. This role offers meaningful impact in shaping tender success and department growth at Damen Naval.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop the ILS team for optimal performance
Plan resources, tools and knowledge to raise team professionalism
Oversee the creation of high-quality proposal packages on time and within budget
Foster cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Provide expert ILS support to tender teams during proposal prep
Review ILS content for quality and regulatory adherence
Identify opportunities to optimize processes, reduce costs and improve efficiency
Represent Damen Naval in customer and industry engagements
Improve knowledge retention and transfer within the department

Key requirements

Bachelor or Master degree in a technical discipline with at least seven years of experience in ILS and proposal management
Strong background in developing proposals for complex projects
Proven experience leading and coordinating high-performing teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in Dutch and English; German a plus
Excellent references; security screening is part of hiring
Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required; non-EU nationals are not eligible due to military project requirements
