In this role you will manage the financial operations of a commercial property portfolio in Woodbury, NY. You will produce and review financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and handle lease administration in Yardi. Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the properties (income statements, balance sheets)
Develop, monitor, and align property budgets and forecasts with financial goals
Record lease terms, rents, and related expenses in Yardi and maintain lease administration
Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies for accuracy
Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance
Perform variance analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve performance
Act as a point of contact for tenants on financial matters and resolve billing inquiries
Participate in special financial projects and provide insights to support broader business objectives

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in commercial property accounting with real estate finance understanding
Advanced proficiency in Yardi software; familiarity with other accounting tools is a plus
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teams and external stakeholders
Detail-oriented with high accuracy in financial reporting
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
