Senior Specialist / Project Manager

In this role you will lead the design and delivery of large Hydropower and Dams projects within Stantec's Energy practice. You’ll manage cross‑functional teams, coordinate with clients and agencies, and drive project success from pursuit through closeout. The position blends technical leadership with relationship management to strengthen Stantec’s reputation. You’ll work flexibly across locations, fostering a healthy, high‑performing culture while delivering on complex energy projects.

Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from planning through construction.
- Define objectives, procedures and performance standards; lead multi-disciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility, design and construction services.
- Identify resources, manage contracts, track costs and schedule, and implement measures to stay on track and within budget.
- Model and support risk, quality, and project management practices; mentor staff and promote internal policies.
- Develop client relationships and expand networks to strengthen reputation and attract talent.
- Foster collaboration across geographies and business lines; provide mentoring and succession planning.
- Advise on safety, health, and security to protect staff, clients, and the public.
Key requirements
- Strong project management skills with end-to-end project execution experience.
- Proven client service management and relationship-building track record.
- Experience in leadership and strategy development for teams and offices.
- Experience preparing proposals with detailed scopes, budgets, and baseline schedules.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities; risk and cost management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
