In this role you will develop precise cost estimates for fireproofing projects, driving accurate planning and execution. You will partner with cross-functional teams to align scope, materials, labor, and timelines, supporting profitable project outcomes. Your work includes bid analysis, supplier quotes, and maintaining cost data to improve future estimates. This position offers a path to influence project bidding and transition to project execution within the Fireproofing Division.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive cost estimates from project specifications and documentation
Analyze bid documents to identify risks and cost optimization opportunities
Collect and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations to validate scope and assumptions
Update cost databases and project metrics to improve future estimates
Assist in proposals and bids for new projects
Support post-bid reviews to ensure smooth transition to execution

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial projects
Deep understanding of material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
Proficiency with estimating tools such as Bluebeam or The Edge
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Experience in logistics and supply chain management (desirable)
