As Wiring Devices Project Engineer, you will autonomously manage certification projects within the Wiring Device segment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality client experience. You’ll join an international team under the Engineering Manager, coordinating testing and certification activities. The role blends technical evaluation with client communication to support safe, compliant electrical products. You will contribute to UL Solutions’ mission of advancing safety and sustainability through rigorous testing and certification. This is a hands-on, impactful position with opportunities to influence product approvals across markets.

Responsibilities

Manage certification projects for devices in the Wiring Device segment
Define project scope, cost, timeline, sample needs, and documentation
Prepare datasheets, schedule and supervise Laboratory Technicians, set completion dates
Communicate with clients about technical issues and timelines, explain UL procedures
Optionally travel to client sites to conduct or witness tests
Provide technical assistance on product evaluations, plans review, and follow-up services
Establish appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer data, applying UL requirements
Develop test requirements for non-standard or unique features requiring independent judgment

Key requirements

University degree in Electrical Engineering or related
Around 3 years of related experience in electrical engineering, preferably in industrial products (connectors, terminal blocks, cable trays, conduits)
Passion for energy distribution and testing of power products
Experience with Electrical Test Equipment
Experience with Testing and Certification services is advantageous
Detailed knowledge of technical vocabulary used in field evaluation
Strong written and verbal English, excellent communication and client focus
Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts
