As Project Engineer, you support preconstruction and construction on critical water and wastewater projects for municipal and industrial clients. You’ll back project management and supervision, manage subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with codes and specs. The role involves document control, quality inspections, and preparing drawings, method statements, and change orders. You will collaborate across teams to keep schedules on track and help drive project controls and safety.

Responsibilities

support project management and supervision to ensure on-schedule construction
assist with subcontractor procurement, package development, and material/equipment procurement
conduct quality inspections ensuring compliance with permits, codes, drawings, and specs
prepare drawings, sketches, method statements, change orders, and estimates
initiate RFIs and track resolutions; obtain necessary permits
develop and maintain project controls, correspondence, and technical records
record meeting minutes, process pay apps, and track project schedule and progress
assist in claims management and change order administration
support estimating with quantity takeoffs and vendor/subcontractor solicitation
promote safety and adherence to health policies on site

Key requirements

3 years of construction design and management experience
experience on heavy civil or industrial construction projects
strong knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, and specs
ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
familiarity with PM data base systems such as Primavera Contract Manager, Expedition, SharePoint
capability to interface with stakeholders and manage multiple tasks
