In this Project Engineer role at Lactalis US Yogurt (Lactalis family), you drive engineering and project execution for manufacturing processes and equipment. Responsibilities

Define business requirements and capacity needs with cross-functional validation
Translate needs into process/equipment requirements and ensure best-practice design
Organize trials with production, suppliers, and R&D
Prepare supplier bid packages and manage supplier selection with Corporate Purchasing
Track capital approvals, budgets, variances, and cash flow; manage change orders
Ensure quality planning, risk analysis, and layout studies are complete and accurate
Lead project management practices with cross-functional involvement and documented progress
Coordinate with plant resources early; maintain customer-service mindset in project execution
Monitor milestones (provisional acceptance, I/O check-out, commissioning, final acceptance) and ensure coordination among projects, suppliers, and manufacturing
Conduct plant floor walkthroughs and drive continuous improvement; comply with PMO, FDA, and OSHA rules
Be flexible with hours during installation periods; travel may be required
Provide safe, compliant, and efficient project execution with emphasis on safety and quality

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of project management experience
Knowledge of Dairy preferred
Microsoft Office Suite incl. Microsoft Project preferred
AutoCAD preferred
Project Management skills to lead cross-functional teams
Strong stakeholder management and agility
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
