Responsibilities

  • Lead customer-facing technical engagements and serve as the primary technical interface throughout the sales and project development lifecycle
  • Qualify opportunities by assessing project maturity, use cases, and strategic fit to determine go/no-go decisions
  • Define and propose controls-centric microgrid solutions leveraging advanced control programming and platform capabilities
  • Coordinate technical resources across sales and engineering for opportunity development
  • Utilize project estimating tools to develop and calibrate scope and cost estimates
  • Determine commercial path and sales strategy (direct, partner-led, or hybrid) and develop solution proposals
  • Maintain opportunity and pipeline data in Salesforce CRM and adhere to sales processes

Key requirements

  • Strong understanding of microgrid controls, automation systems, EMS, and system integration
  • Advanced knowledge of microgrid control system programming, behavior, and modes
  • Experience integrating DER technologies including generation, storage, protection, and communications
  • Ability to qualify opportunities, assess risk, and make pursuit recommendations
  • Estimating and financial acumen for controls scope and integration effort
  • Ability to align technical solutions with commercial strategy and customer value drivers
  • Leadership and collaboration skills to coordinate resources across teams
  • Strong communication skills for diverse audiences
