In this role you drive the drafting, negotiation, and execution of commercial contracts within MassMutual’s procurement ecosystem. You will coordinate with business owners, legal, IT and risk teams to address deal terms and risks, while aligning with contracting standards. You’ll influence cross-functional stakeholders and optimize the contracting process to deliver value for policyholders. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Coordinate contract drafting and redlining to protect MassMutual from risk
Negotiate terms with suppliers to meet business objectives and standards
Engage internal stakeholders (business lines, legal, compliance, data security) to assess risks
Develop and execute negotiation strategies within timelines
Identify process inefficiencies and propose streamlined contracting solutions
Coach and train less experienced Contract Managers
Collaborate with Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management teams
Manage multiple projects concurrently with strong organization and communication at the core

Key requirements

7+ years of experience in contract evaluation, drafting and redlining
7+ years of experience working with all procurement functions
Bachelor’s Degree
