As Principal Toxicologist you will lead and grow the toxicology practice within a global organisation. You will evaluate health risks from chemicals, microbial agents, and other toxicants across consumer products, pharmaceuticals, and environments, guiding clients from assessment to strategy. You’ll testify in legal or regulatory settings and drive business development through cross-functional collaboration. This remote role blends highly technical work with client leadership and strategic growth, offering impact at scale.

Responsibilities

Conduct chemical and product evaluations to estimate exposure and health risks
Translate complex toxicology findings for clients and stakeholders
Demonstrate exceptional scientific and legal writing for diverse audiences
Capture, manage, and prioritise casework and caseloads
Lead client communications, leadership interactions, and project lifecycle
Develop budgets and oversee financial aspects of projects
Provide litigation, liaison, and regulatory toxicology support as needed
Lead and contribute to business development and client relationship management
Prepare testimony and participate in regulatory or legal proceedings
Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities and grow the practice
Remote collaboration with colleagues and regular client meetings
Maintaining compliance with timelines and deadlines

Key requirements

Ph.D./M.S. in Toxicology or equivalent
10+ years of direct toxicology experience across relevant sectors
Demonstrated testimony experience
Strong understanding of mechanistic and forensic toxicology
Proven publication record
Experience applying toxicological principles to diverse exposure scenarios
Ability to market services across the EU
Exceptional communication skills
