In this Principal Process Engineer role, you will develop and optimize industrial microelectronics processes with a focus on solder assembly for RF and digital packages. You will oversee multiple programs, drive process capability, and collaborate with engineers and suppliers to improve yields and manufacturability. Responsibilities

Oversee multiple programs and support supplier source selection; resolve production difficulties
Address SMT PCB defects (IPC-6012/6018) and solder assembly defects (IPC-610); manage solder technology and unusual alloys
Mitigate tin whiskers; assess RF performance of boards, passive components, and coaxial structures
Work with epoxy adhesives, RTV compounds, TIM materials, and SMT rework; support RF/digital electronics operation
Interface with customers, vendors, and cross-functional engineers to improve manufacturability and yields
Develop formal process documentation and DOE analyses; provide fixture design input
Participate in design review gates from concept to production readiness; mentor early-career engineers
Perform related duties as assigned and maintain safety and cost constraints

Key requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or Physics-related discipline
Ten years of process engineering experience with knowledge of Electrical/RF Engineering
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Aerospace and Defense industry experience
Knowledge of Printed Wiring Boards assembly and chassis integration; SMT experience
Hands-on experience in assembly and testing; Senior RF/electronic technician knowledge
