Experteer Overview
In this senior, client-facing role you drive process safety capability across diverse, high-hazard facilities. You’ll lead and deliver projects that strengthen design, operation and maintenance of chemical processing sites while growing the business and developing others. You’ll apply COMAH and related legislation expertise, shaping services and client solutions. The role blends technical depth with leadership, cross-team collaboration and business development.

Responsibilities
- Develop and extend process safety services, methodologies and tools for clients
- Lead on-site surveys, audits and hazard studies (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA)
- Interface with site management, engineering, operations and HSE to resolve safety risks
- Provide process engineering input for design reviews and EHS studies
- Support strategic development projects and contribute to marketing communications
- Develop client relationships and act as strategic contact for key accounts
- Identify cost-effective safety solutions to support client sustainability and growth
- Lead multiple projects and ensure integration across the organisation
- Mentor and develop the technical capability of direct reports
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
Key requirements
- Chartered engineer with degree in chemical or process engineering
- Extensive design principles and standards experience for process plant
- Strong knowledge of COMAH legislation and related codes
- Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and build relationships
- High integrity and sound judgement
