In this role you lead power system studies within the PSP team, shaping grid analysis for renewable integration and grid code compliance. You will drive high-quality technical work for diverse national and international projects and engage customers to unlock opportunities. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful insights and support business development. Responsibilities
- Conduct grid modeling, simulations and power system studies to analyze grid behavior
- Investigate integration of renewables and storage, power quality, and grid code compliance
- Model and analyse power electronics (HVDC, FACTS, inverters) and protection & control
- Develop, review and process technical documentation; prepare technical reports and commercial proposals
- Perform site visits, test witnessing and validation of studies; present findings to customers
- Manage work within budget and timeline constraints; engage with customers and cross-functional teams
- Support business development through proposals and identifying market opportunities
- Collaborate with key account managers and teams across DNV and external partners
Key requirements
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems Studies
- Hands-on experience with PSSE, PowerFactory, PSCAD, ETAP, CDEGS and ATP
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Extensive knowledge in power system studies, renewable integration, grid code compliance, protection & control, earthing and EMI/EMC issues
- Strong English communication skills; Dutch a plus
- Experience in customer engagement, project coordination and multi-priority management
- Willingness to travel and adapt to a dynamic, international environment
