As the Global Electrostatics Engineer, you will serve as the expert on ESD and ESA, guiding manufacturing and development engineers across global facilities. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to implement practical electrostatics solutions in cleanrooms and packaging areas. Your work supports safe handling of electronics and chemicals, and helps reduce particle contamination. You will lead education efforts, collaborate with external standards bodies, and mentor other engineers to elevate electrostatics practice across the company.

Responsibilities

Serve as the global electrostatics expert for ESD and ESA issues
Consult with production areas to address electrostatics in-process and in final pack areas
Maintain knowledge of cleanroom equipment and suppliers used to mitigate electrostatics
Chairs the Global ESD Team and hosts regular meetings
Active member of Work Environments Community of Practice
Build relationships with external standards organizations and participate in standards development
Lead education and mentoring on external standards usage
Deliver internal and external presentations on ESD, ESA, and FM reduction
Respond to global teams and make decisions on electrostatics-related matters
Mentor other engineers in electrostatics practices

Key requirements

4-year degree in Engineering
7+ years with BS or 5+ years with MS in relevant field
Understanding of electrostatics in production (ESA, ESD, static safety)
Experience creating documents within a quality system (SOPs, WIs, PMs)
Experience with cleanroom practices
Collaborative, problem solver
