In this role you lead Boston Children’s Museum’s strategic direction, operations, and culture to advance its mission of joyful, inclusive learning for children and families. You will guide governance, fundraising, and community partnerships to ensure sustainability and impact. As the public face and steward of the museum, you will champion accessibility, equity, and high-quality learning experiences. This is a chance to shape a historic institution’s next chapter and strengthen its role in civic life.
Responsibilities
- set and execute strategic direction in collaboration with the Board and senior leadership
- oversee operations and program delivery to ensure high-quality, inclusive learning experiences
- lead fundraising and engagement with trustees, donors, and the business community, including endowments, sponsorships, and capital campaigns
- cultivate strong governance practices and diverse representation on the Board
- build and sustain community relationships with civic leaders, cultural partners, and public entities
- ensure fiscal responsibility and administrative excellence across the organization
- drive organizational development and culture toward equity, collaboration, and accountability
- represent the museum publicly as a voice for children and families
