Senior Specialist / Project Manager

Experteer Overview

In this role you join the Center for Bioelectronics to advance biosensor and bioelectronics research, integrating organic materials for implantable and wearable platforms. You will design and execute molecular biology workflows and mentor students, contributing to tissue engineering and biomaterial evaluation. Your work will span 2D/3D cell culture, cell-based assays, and multi-omics readouts, supporting multidisciplinary collaborations. This position offers a chance to shape translational bioscience projects and grow as a research leader in a collaborative lab.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and implement molecular biology techniques for tissue engineering, smart biomaterials, and cell-based assays (e.g., Western blot, qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry)
  • Evaluate aging and compatibility of novel materials for implantable and wearable applications in cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • Mentor technicians and students, supporting hands-on training and project development
  • Contribute to biosensor and bioelectronics development and organic materials integration
  • Collaborate with researchers across biology, engineering, chemistry, and materials science on multiple projects with defined milestones

Key requirements

  • PhD in listed fields
  • Deep technical skills in molecular biology and biochemistry
  • Strong publication record and conference presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with deliverables and timelines
  • Effective communication in a multidisciplinary team
  • Background in molecular biology and biochemistry principles
  • Experience with 2D and 3D cell culture techniques
  • Understanding of nanomaterials and soft materials
  • Experience with biosafety level-2 (BSL-2) techniques and real-time imaging
