The Plant Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for financial performance across multiple manufacturing sites and acts as a strategic partner to operations. You drive EBITDA growth, cash flow, and operational efficiency while upholding accurate reporting and strong internal controls in a scalable, audit-ready environment. This on-site role blends hands-on leadership with urgency and accountability to support plant operations and strategic initiatives. You will partner with plant leadership to translate operations into financial insight and influence capital and cost decisions.

Responsibilities

Own full P&L performance across multiple sites
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
Deliver timely financial reporting and variance analysis
Drive EBITDA optimization through cost reduction, pricing support, and efficiency gains
Manage working capital, including inventory reduction and cash conversion
Advise Plant Managers and Operations on performance and investments
Oversee standard costing, cost updates, and variance analysis
Ensure accurate inventory valuation, cycle counts, and control processes
Coordinate month-end close across sites and ensure GAAP compliance
Standardize financial processes, KPIs, and reporting across sites
Identify and lead financial process improvements and ERP-related enhancements
Build dashboards and analytics for faster decision-making

Key requirements

Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA strongly preferred
10+ years in progressive finance/accounting in manufacturing
Strong cost accounting, inventory management, and plant finance background
Experience in multi-site operations
Experience in private equity-backed/public companies or similarly rigorous environments preferred
Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls (SOX a plus)
Advanced Excel and ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
Proven ability to influence operations and drive financial performance
