Responsibilities

Lead production operations to meet efficiency and schedule targets
Coordinate with planning and other departments (planning, warehouse, maintenance, purchasing, HR, Quality Control, R&D)
Manage absenteeism and team coverage; supervise daily start-up and dashboards
Drive standard work initiatives (Takt, Kaizen, 5S, SOP) and monitor operator performance
Ensure safe systems of work; enforce PPE usage and safety training across the team
Monitor productivity, bottlenecks, and escalation per matrix; adjust operating standards as needed
Empower team members and foster involvement in improvement projects
Contribute to projects within the department and support performance reviews and training
Provide cover for other Team Leaders or Supervisors when needed
Communicate recommendations for plant, equipment, and working practices to management
Support continuous improvement culture and safety/quality standards

Key requirements

Previous teamleading experience and/or qualifications
MBO-level education in relevant technical fields (Chemistry, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering)
Safety-focused with experience managing safe environments and systems
Strong interpersonal, influencing, coaching, and negotiating skills
Articulate written and verbal communicator
Ability to build and manage relationships; enthusiastic about developing others
Values teamwork; customer-focused; capable of sustaining standards
Numerically astute with the ability to drive action
Positive, professional attitude with high work ethics
Hands-on with continuous improvement mindset; self-motivated; quality-aware
Experience with safety systems, quality systems, and near-miss reporting/reduction
