In this role you will lead the operational resilience strategy and governance for a market-leading Investment and Corporate Banking group in London. You will embed a resilience framework across EMEA, aligning with regulatory expectations and the bank’s objectives. You’ll design testing, governance forums, and scenario libraries to strengthen resilience across regions, partnering with multiple functions. This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role focused on risk, regulatory alignment, and sustainable operational continuity.

Responsibilities

Lead the operational resilience strategy, policy, and governance to align with risk management and business continuity objectives
Embed and maintain the resilience framework across UK, Ireland, and EU, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory requirements
Develop and refine assessment methodologies, lead annual resilience assessments with business lines and support functions
Onboard functional owners into the framework and maintain service mapping with the Service Management team
Design and manage operational resilience scenario testing methodology, library, and annual testing schedule
Identify vulnerabilities impacting continuous operations and oversee remediation actions
Support annual operational resilience self-assessment for required entities
Facilitate governance forums and industry groups to drive resilience standards
Develop resilience controls and reporting for the board and regulators
Collaborate with pillars and supporting functions to sustain governance and risk reporting

Key requirements

Strong expertise in operational resilience within financial services
Deep knowledge of banking operations and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to develop and implement resilience and risk management frameworks
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
