Experteer Overview
In this role you will lead a field sales team in the NYP region to drive ocean freight revenue and profitability, shaping regional sales plans and budgets. You will collaborate with other sales leaders to address issues, capture geographical observations, and incorporate customer feedback. You will coach Field Sales Specialists, cultivate relationships with medium-sized business customers, and ensure the Sales Index target is met. You will partner with local leadership on staffing, discipline, and training while supporting field sales interactions and critical deal closures. Responsibilities
- Manage and steer a group of Field Sales Specialists in the NYP region
- Support plan and target setting for Field Sales Team based on country targets
- Drive performance improvement of Field Sales group to achieve Sales Index
- Plan and manage the portfolio of medium-sized Business Customers of the Field Sales Team
- Invest in relationships between medium-sized Business Customers and DHL Global Forwarding
- Develop and coach Field Sales Specialists
- Support and facilitate Sales skills/process training for Field Sales channel
- Assist Field Sales Specialist Team in customer interactions
- Act as a coach for Field Sales Team
- Coordinate staffing, discipline, reviews, training and leadership with the local branch manager and other Sales Leaders
Key requirements
- Excellent systems knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel to assigned territories
- Creativity in developing innovative solutions and presenting to clients and staff
- Self-discipline with strong leadership abilities
- Broad understanding of forwarding industry and Global Forwarding products (Air Freight and Ocean Freight)
- Superior management skills to steer Sales Team
- Ownership mindset and proactive performance drive
- Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to win, develop and close new business
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a related field
