Experteer Overview
In this NPI engineer role in Hengelo, you bridge design and manufacturing to transition products from prototype to full-scale production. You collaborate with engineering, purchasing and supply chain to ensure manufacturability, quality and cost targets for PCBAs. You lead cross-functional coordination, document processes, and drive continuous improvements for volume manufacturing. You manage long-lead items with suppliers and keep development teams updated on status and risks. You shape new technologies and front-end radar concepts through hands-on problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Technical and logistical interface between engineering and industry
- Oversee manufacturing processes, develop product documentation, coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with quality standards
- Drive continuous improvements to enhance manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of new products
- Long lead items management with suppliers
- Monitor outstanding orders and communicate status to development teams
- Resolve technical issues with suppliers to ensure smooth manufacturing and delivery
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering
- Proactive and creative in shortening time-to-market and reducing cost
- Background in an engineering or production environment
- Independent but collaborative in approach
- Creative, enterprising and problem solving mindset
- Enthusiastic and persistent with good communication skills
- Fluent in English
