In this role, you contribute to the design, development, and deployment of Gogo’s global ground-based network. You will help deliver reliable 4G LTE, 5G, and satellite inflight experiences by building scalable network solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will address performance and reliability challenges, drive process improvements, and support critical production systems. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position in a collaborative engineering culture with an on-call component.

Responsibilities

Implement features and functionality of the network and systems infrastructure
Collaborate with other business units to achieve common goals
Build solutions from business requirements
Track tasks and provide status updates to ensure on-time delivery
Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues
Drive process improvements for reliability, automation, and operational efficiency
Guide best practices for system design and development
Foster a healthy, collaborative team environment with ownership and strong work ethic
Participate in maintenance windows and on-call rotation to ensure production reliability

Key requirements

2–4 years in telecommunications, service provider, or IT environments
Experience in a tiered support environment (Tier 2/3)
Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
Experience with network services (DNS, DHCP, AAA, TACACS)
Skilled with Linux administration
Knowledge of virtualization (VMware ESXi, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Python or shell scripting
