In this on-site role, you will drive PCB layout activities for a strategic hardware program in Zug, collaborating with cross-functional teams. You’ll define stack-ups, place components with EMC and manufacturability in mind, and prepare manufacturing data and PLM documentation. You’ll prototype and test electronic assemblies, document results, and ensure alignment with project requirements and quality standards. This position offers meaningful ownership over PCB development within a high-impact engineering initiative.
Responsibilities
- Develop PCB layouts per engineering specifications
- Select PCB technologies and define PCB stack-ups
- Place components with emphasis on EMC and manufacturability
- Prepare manufacturing data and related documentation
- Ensure compatibility with industrialization and production processes
- Manage documentation in PLM systems
- Conduct measurements on electronic prototypes and build test setups
- Prepare detailed measurement reports
- Collaborate with mechanical, electronic, and production teams
- Ensure adherence to project requirements and quality standards
Key requirements
- PCB design & layout aligned with cross-functional teams
- Experience with PCB technologies and stack-ups
- Component placement focused on EMC
- DfM (Design-for-Manufacturing) compliance
- ECAD system Xpedition experience
- Creation of PCB documentation, manufacturing files, and PLM data management
- Prototype testing and test environment setup
- Strong knowledge in electronics, EMC, and electronic components
- Excellent German and good English skills
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Proactive mindset and initiative
- Excellent spatial reasoning and learning ability
- Structured, strategic, customer-oriented work approach
