In this role you will develop and validate AML risk models to ensure OCC compliance and protect customers. You work with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable risk assessments and presentation materials. You will build scoring models and perform statistical analyses to support decision making and model improvements. This is a globally-aligned, analytics-focused position that combines data science, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration to strengthen Citi’s anti-money laundering controls.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct statistical analyses and develop quantitative AML risk models
  • Tune thresholds and build scoring models using SAS, SQL, Python, Hive, and PySpark
  • Analyze data quality, define data requirements, and validate information
  • Collaborate with regional teams, Detection Risk Coverage, Independent Validation & Audit, and Technology groups to implement model improvements
  • Prepare data exploration reports and present results to senior management
  • Support senior risk managers with quantitative analysis to inform decisions
  • Monitor and improve model coverage across Lines of Business
  • Ensure validation against OCC mandates and regulatory expectations

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and six years of quantitative experience
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, Python, Hive; knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to fetch data from Oracle/SQL databases and build dashboards with BI tools
  • Experience in data quality analysis, KPI development, and validation techniques
  • Strong communication with business, risk management, technology, and data units
  • Alternative: Master’s degree with four years of experience (accepts Master’s as alternative)
