As Mobile Engineering Manager, you will lead the mobile engineering team driving end-user and admin apps for our access control platform. You’ll shape release planning, quality, and automation to support millions of unlocks daily across customers worldwide. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to align on priorities, ensure robust deployment, and continuously improve our release processes. This role offers the opportunity to scale the team, advance mobile architecture, and impact how people interact with secure access systems. You will work in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment focused on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

Lead and guide a small team of mobile engineers to achieve strategic goals for the core access product
Own release management: plan, execute, and communicate mobile app code and configuration releases
Identify and implement process improvements for release tools, methodologies, and customer-facing interfaces
Provide technical direction and architecture guidance for mobile app software and internal tooling
Collaborate with QA to provide environments and configurations for testing new deployments
Coordinate with engineering, product, and support to align release schedules and priorities
Monitor mobile app health and performance, identify trends, and address issues proactively

Key requirements

7+ years of mobile development experience
2+ years of building and leading a software/mobile engineering team
Hands-on experience with Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, and React Native
Understanding of build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management
Experience developing and distributing mobile SDKs
Experience with cloud technologies, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (helpful)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, stable releases
