In this role you drive medium to large DoD planning and asset management projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant plans and analyses. You’ll facilitate charrettes, coordinate stakeholders, and translate complex requirements into executable installations plans. The position blends planning, coordination, and documentation to support DoD programs globally, leveraging your leadership to shape project outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary team to complete DoD planning studies and related documentation in accordance with DoD and Service-specific planning criteria and guidance
  • Conduct facility and infrastructure requirements analyses and capacity assessments
  • Develop project execution plans including storyboarding process and product expectations
  • Facilitate Installation Visioning, Planning, and Programming Charrettes
  • Communicate effectively through written, graphic (CAD/GIS/SketchUp/Hand Sketches), and verbal channels to exchange information among stakeholders
  • Build consensus and coordinate stakeholders with differing views to manage projects
  • Develop complete Installation, Area, and Component plans
  • Develop Plans IAW applicable planning criteria
  • Develop a Capital Investment Strategy IAW DoD service and customer criteria
  • Prepare complete DD Forms 1391
  • Prepare economic analyses

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or closely related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in environmental consulting with marketing, land development project management, staff management, and client satisfaction; advanced degree may offset years of experience
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage in a team environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Business development skills and familiarity with local clients and markets
  • Excellent communication skills
  • May require travel
  • Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must
