In this role you lead the Adult Outpatient Rehabilitation Therapy program to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, compassionate care. You work with the Rehab team to advance patient outcomes and satisfaction while aligning with the organization’s mission. You drive program performance, staffing, and budget initiatives, and collaborate across departments to optimize non-clinical processes. This is a meaningful opportunity to shape rehabilitation services at scale within a respected health system.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management of the Adult Outpatient Rehabilitation Therapy program across all locations
- Perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver interventions as qualified
- Assist in development and implementation of development budgets and business plans
- Empower staff through clear delegation of responsibility and accountability
- Participate in staff selection and provide input on staffing decisions
- Maintain two-way communication with key relationships and reinforce mission, vision and values
- Monitor staff performance and cost center/project results; conduct appraisals
- Monitor customer satisfaction and drive corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate with support staff and other departments to optimize scheduling, registering, and billing
- Seek continuous service value improvements through in-services, meetings and continuing education
- Maximize patient satisfaction with respectful, prompt, and courteous care
- Review and update departmental policies within health system timelines
- Assist with recruitment, orientation, training, and performance management of Rehab caregivers and students
Key requirements
- Licensed or license eligible by the State (if licensure applicable)
- Minimum of two years of managerial experience at supervisor or manager level
- Five years of supervisory experience preferred
- Five years of outpatient/inpatient experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree from a rehabilitation-related clinical program (OT, PT, Speech/Language, Psychology, Audiology, Nursing, etc)
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Planning and organizational skills related to budgeting and daily operations
- Ability to evaluate, analyze, and problem-solve
- Knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served
