Experteer Overview

As a MEMS designer, you contribute to the development of MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes across all design phases. You will assess sensor architectures, design layouts, and run simulations to predict performance under manufacturing and real-world conditions. You’ll verify simulations with lab measurements and help ensure product validity. This role fits into ST’s MEMS design team, contributing to impactful sensing technologies in consumer, automotive, and industrial applications.

Responsibilities

Perform feasibility studies and select sensor architectures to meet specifications
Design sensor layouts and conduct simulations to predict performance across manufacturing variability and real-world scenarios
Measure sensor prototypes in the lab to validate simulations against actual behavior

Key requirements

background in mechanical engineering, physical engineering, or electronic engineering
solid background in physics, mechanics, and electronics
experience with finite element method (FEM) simulations and MATLAB preferred
laboratory experience with instruments used for sensor validation is an advantage
willingness to learn, problem-solving mindset, curiosity, drive for innovation, accountability, and attention to detail
