In this role you will serve as Ascendis Pharma’s field-facing Medical Affairs representative in Italy, driving awareness of TransCon technology and its potential in endocrinology and related therapeutic areas. You will engage KOLs and organizations, support scientific collaborations, and educate healthcare providers about our pipeline. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate scientific insights into strategic medical activities, while working remotely in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Represent Ascendis Pharma in the field and elevate the company’s scientific profile
Communicate the potential of TransCon technology to endocrinology and related therapeutic areas
Maintain in-depth medical knowledge of portfolio and disease states (e.g., bone and growth)
Identify and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and organizations; develop and maintain a KOL engagement plan
Plan and deliver medical/scientific presentations to internal and external stakeholders
Provide scientific support at medical congresses and meetings; support onboarding and training for colleagues
Capture and relay external insights on disease states, portfolio, competitors to internal teams
Foster cross-functional collaboration with Clinical Development, HEOR, Market Access, Marketing, and Sales

Key requirements

2+ years of pharmaceutical experience as an MSL or in a similar role
Relevant academic degree (PhD, PharmD, MSc, DVM, or MD)
Experience in Pediatric endocrinology, endocrinology, or Rare Diseases
Strong oral and written communication skills for virtual and live settings
Ability to communicate complex scientific information effectively
Proactive, team-oriented with entrepreneurial mindset
