In this role you will lead clinical data generation and execution of oncology trials to advance GSK’s clinical portfolio. You will work within the Clinical Development team to shape trial strategy, engage with scientific leaders, and build long-term external partnerships. Your medical oversight will drive safety, efficacy, and regulatory support across phase 1–3 studies, contributing to product launches and lifecycle management. This position offers a patient-focused mission in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with global reach.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate in a complex matrix to design and run phase 1–3 interventional trials
- Lead high-quality protocol development aligned with the Clinical Development Plan
- Ensure scientific integrity from protocol concept to final study report
- Interpret and summarize trial data for safety, efficacy, PK/PD, and patient-reported outcomes
- Provide medical responsibility for trials, including safety monitoring and eligibility assessment
- Oversee medical review of data packages and oversight of blinded IDMC data reviews
- Monitor safety data with pharmacovigilance colleagues
- Contribute to regulatory documents and respond to health authority queries
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators on publications and external communications
- Develop long-term strategic external partnerships with thought leaders
- Understand disease biology and clinical strategy to support asset development
- Serve on Clinical Matrix Team and contribute to disease area strategy and medical affairs
- Participate in Oncology Clinical Development initiatives and workstreams
Key requirements
- Medical degree with board certification/eligibility or registration in medical oncology, hematology, hematology/oncology, general surgery, internal medicine, or pathology
- Experience in oncology within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or related clinical settings
- Experience in conducting or participating in clinical trials and publications
