In this role you will design and detail mechanical components and assemblies for steel plant equipment, translating specifications into robust 3D models and 2D drawings. You will work within cross-functional teams to ensure standards and manufacturing requirements are met, supporting design reviews and documentation in PLM/PDM systems. This is a hands-on position focused on delivering reliable, build-ready designs that enable project success. You will contribute to solving complex industrial challenges in a multidisciplinary, international environment.

Responsibilities

Develop 3D models and assemblies of mechanical components and equipment for steel production plants
Produce 2D technical drawings, including manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and installation layouts
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, and internal guidelines
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and project teams to implement design solutions
Support design reviews and technical coordination meetings
Perform modifications and updates to models and drawings based on engineering changes
Ensure proper documentation management within the company PLM/PDM systems
Provide support to manufacturing and installation teams when clarification of drawings is required

Key requirements

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
Proven experience in 3D and 2D mechanical design of industrial machinery or heavy equipment
Strong knowledge of CAD software (e.g., Inventor, or similar)
Experience with large assemblies and complex mechanical systems
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and mechanical components (welded structures, machined parts, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering documentation
Good command of English (written and spoken)
