In this role you will commission mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems for data-center-scale facilities, working with cross-functional teams to ensure performance and compliance. You will review designs, develop commissioning plans and execute FAT, IST and FP testing, while documenting results and delivering technical recommendations. You’ll travel to project sites across the US and support client meetings to drive successful handovers of complex systems. Responsibilities
- Commission mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems and controls
- Review design documents and provide technical feedback to project teams
- Develop commissioning plans, procedures and test scripts
- Execute FAT, IST and functional performance testing
- Document commissioning activities, deficiencies and test results
- Evaluate system performance and provide technical recommendations
- Coordinate with owners, contractors, vendors, design engineers, and project stakeholders
- Assist with project schedules, commissioning reports and project documentation
- Support client meetings and respond to technical inquiries
- Ensure all work complies with project and site safety requirements
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (2+ years in commissioning or related areas)
- Experience with data centers or other complex mechanical systems
- Knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, cooling infrastructure, BAS/BMS and related equipment
- Ability to interpret construction documents, specifications and control sequences
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Willingness to travel across the United States
