As Managing Director, you will lead and expand Armanino's Valuation and Financial Modeling practice, driving revenue and market growth while shaping the team and capabilities. You will act as a trusted advisor on complex valuation matters and coordinate across advisory disciplines to deliver integrated client solutions. The role combines business development, strategic oversight, and hands-on leadership of multi-disciplinary engagements. You’ll engage senior clients and centers of influence to scale the practice and sustain growth.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the valuation and financial modeling practice including revenue, market reach, and talent development
  • Drive new business through networking, referrals, and relationships with clients, attorneys, PE sponsors, bankers and influencers
  • Serve as trusted advisor on complex valuation and financial modeling matters (financial reporting, tax planning, transaction support, litigation support)
  • Lead and oversee complex engagements ensuring quality, timely delivery, and adherence to execution standards
  • Collaborate with Forensics to deliver integrated solutions (valuation, disputes, damages analyses)
  • Build relationships with senior executives, owners, counsel, and influencers to generate opportunities
  • Oversee engagement economics: budgeting, realization, utilization, billing, collections, profitability
  • Mentor and develop valuation professionals and foster a growth-oriented team culture
  • Foster an environment of collaboration and scalability within the team
  • Provide strategic oversight of valuation models using income, market, and asset-based approaches
  • Support preparation and review of valuation analyses for ASC 805/ASC 350, 409A/ASC 718, tax planning, M&A, litigation
  • Act as a thought leader through speaking, publications, events, and professional organizations
  • Promote a commercial mindset and surface cross-practice opportunities for sustainable growth

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 12 years in valuation within a large public accounting firm or advisory firm
  • Valuation/finance credentials preferred (ASA, CFA, CPA/ABV, CEIV, CVA, CVFI)
  • Proven success in developing client relationships and sourcing new business
  • Extensive experience leading complex valuation and modeling engagements and managing client-facing teams
  • Experience collaborating with forensic accounting, litigation, tax, audit, or transaction advisory practices
  • Recognized industry presence through thought leadership activities
