In this Managing Director role, you’ll expand Armanino’s Valuation and Financial Modeling practice by driving business development, leading complex engagements, and building talent. You will partner with advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions and shape the growth of a cross-functional practice. You’ll work with senior executives and centers of influence to generate opportunities and uphold high-quality execution. This is a chance to lead thought leadership, scale a critical advisory area, and impact client outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead growth of the Valuation and Financial Modeling practice across revenue, market expansion, and talent development
Drive new business development through networking and client relationships with executives, sponsors, bankers, and attorneys
Serve as trusted advisor on valuation and financial modeling matters including financial reporting, tax planning, and transaction support
Oversee complex valuation engagements ensuring technical quality, timely delivery, and adherence to execution standards
Collaborate with Forensics to deliver integrated solutions across valuation, disputes, and litigation support
Build relationships with senior stakeholders to generate opportunities and expand market presence
Oversee engagement economics including budgeting, realization, utilization, billing, and profitability
Mentor and develop valuation professionals and foster a growth-oriented team culture
Promote an environment of growth, collaboration, and scalability
Provide strategic oversight of financial analyses and valuation models using income, market, and asset-based approaches
Support valuation analyses for financial reporting, tax planning, M&A, litigation, and other matters
Establish thought leadership through speaking engagements, publications, and professional involvement
Foster a commercial mindset across Valuation and Forensics teams to identify client needs and cross-practice opportunities

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (as stated)
Minimum of 12 years of valuation experience at a major firm or large advisory firm
One or more valuation or finance credentials (ASA, CFA, CPA/ABV, CEIV, CVA, CVFI, or similar) preferred
Proven success in developing client relationships and sourcing opportunities
Extensive experience leading complex valuation and modeling engagements with client-facing teams
Experience collaborating with forensic accounting, litigation, tax, or transaction advisory practices
Recognized industry presence through speaking, publications, or thought leadership
