Responsibilities
- Build and profitably grow a financial advisor practice by attracting, training, motivating, and retaining advisors
- Meet objectives for recruiting and retention, production, persistency, business conduct, and expense management within the center
- Lead and consult with financial professionals across the region to grow their practices
- Attract and develop top-tier talent and contribute to an intentional organizational culture
- Develop community relations and represent the business center in the local market
Key requirements
- Bachelor degree or eight years of equivalent experience
- 4+ years related work experience in sales and management
- Recruiting experience with financial advisors preferred
- Broad knowledge of sales techniques and regulations governing insurance and security sales
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to recruit, train, lead, manage, and supervise a diverse group of producers
- Ability to develop and maintain community relations
- Licenses: Life/Health and Variable Annuity (resident); Life/Health and Variable Annuity licensing for non-residents
- Securities exams and IAR appointments: Series 7 and 63 or equivalent, and 24/65/66 as required by state law
- Travel: up to 15% including overnight stays
- Designations desired: CLU/ChFC, CFP, or CLF
