As Managing Director, Enterprise Organizational Enablement, you will lead the internal OD and change function to boost organizational effectiveness across The Cigna Group. You will partner with senior leaders to design scalable OD and change programs, shaping culture, design, and performance at scale. You will drive interventions, change readiness, and capability-building to enable agility and sustained outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-impact internal consulting practice and to influence enterprise-wide transformation.
Responsibilities
- Advise senior HR and executive leaders on organizational effectiveness, design, culture, readiness, and stakeholder engagement
- Develop and execute integrated OD and change management strategies aligned with enterprise goals
- Lead design and deployment of complex OD interventions (organizational design, culture transformation, team effectiveness)
- Craft comprehensive change strategies aligned with talent priorities and major business initiatives, managing risk and delivery
- Assess enterprise change saturation and readiness, elevating risks to leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing internal consulting practice with HR and business leaders
- Coach and mentor team members in needs assessment, systems thinking, and strategic consulting
- Create a consulting center of excellence to share best practices and promote continuous improvement
- Refine OD methodologies and resources to align with best practices and business needs
- Scale enterprise-wide change management methodologies with Learning and Leadership Development partners
- Build internal OD/change capability across HR and business units through training and coaching
- Facilitate executive interventions and design sessions on organizational health, engagement, performance
- Partner with sponsors and leaders to assess impacts, drive alignment, and tailor change plans
- Design and implement transparent, engaging communication strategies across all levels
- Facilitate leadership alignment, employee forums, and feedback loops to support inclusive change
- Partner with talent analytics to define KPIs and monitor health and adoption using dashboards
- Use data-driven insights to refine OD/change strategies and ensure sustained outcomes
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned sessions
Key requirements
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership with significant OD/change/transformation experience
- Experience leading OD/change in large, complex, matrixed organizations
- Deep OD theory and practice expertise (systems thinking, culture transformation, leadership assessment) and at-scale interventions
- Proven success delivering enterprise-wide, large-scale change in a global matrixed organization
- OD certification and change management methodology knowledge (PROSCI, ADKAR, Kotter) highly desirable
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building abilities
- Experience with HR technologies (ServiceNow, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Collaborative, cross-functional relationship-building across diverse geographies
