In this role you drive the automation of warehouse operations by leading an international expert team on WCS implementations. You partner with project teams to deliver standardized, scalable WCS processes and ensure successful go-lives. You design testing and acceptance frameworks and guide cross-country projects from specification to ramp-up. You collaborate with ALDI DX and operations to share knowledge and improve performance, shaping the future of automated logistics within the group.

Responsibilities

Supervise an international team for automated warehouse implementations focusing on WCS (and WMS where applicable)
Act as strategic on-site partner for project teams across the project lifecycle
Define a global standard for automated WCS processes with operations and ALDI DX, applying it to projects and suppliers
Develop standardized testing and acceptance procedures for complex projects
Guide the team from detailed specs through testing phases to ramp-up and final acceptance
Support go-live readiness, training, WCS service team setup, and escalation procedures
Coordinate across international project teams
Establish a communication framework for knowledge transfer and continuous improvement across countries and projects

Key requirements

Studies in technical logistics, information technology, industrial engineering or similar fields, or equivalent work experience
Several years of experience specifying, testing and implementing WCS for highly automated warehouses
Experience guiding full project life cycle from planning to operation with significant delivery responsibility, preferably in grocery retail
Ideally experience leading a multi-site implementation team
Self-motivated, organized with passion for automation projects
Strong communication and relationship-building with Automation Technology, Aldi DX, Operations and suppliers
Willingness to travel as part of project work
