In Iberia, you lead local product strategy and drive opportunities in Credit and Contactless payments. You collaborate with customers, account managers, and product teams to align MasterCard offerings with market needs and to grow revenue. You will shape local initiatives, engage with banks and telcos, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to implement innovative payment solutions. This role places you at the center of Iberia’s card and mobile payments expansion, with a strong emphasis on strategic partnerships and premium propositions.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of market-aligned product opportunities and revenue growth initiatives.
- Coordinate with Core products, Innovative Platforms, Pricing, and Marketing to deliver local product strategies.
- Act as the main Iberia counterpart to banks for Credit and Contactless product matters; demonstrate value to senior management.
- Identify, build business cases, and prioritize Credit and Contactless initiatives driving customer and MasterCard revenues.
- Support customer planning with Account Managers and coordinate with Product Development to surface innovations.
- Deliver the 2012 Premium strategy, engaging with local/central teams to launch and promote Premium products.
- Develop relationships with major telecoms to secure leadership in mobile payments.
- Assist sales teams to sell and develop mobile projects and new propositions for Iberia issuers.
- Aim to secure issuers’ commitments for new product launches and updates.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across product, marketing, and sales to align offerings with market needs.
Key requirements
- Very strong sales and business development skills with ability to engage senior bank management.
- Ability to interpret customers’ product strategy and position MasterCard offerings accordingly.
- Proven track record in selling complex solutions.
- Deep knowledge of the Iberia payment banking market (retail banking, card payments, and ideally contactless/mobile).
- Strong thought leadership and influence, with experience managing cross-functional projects.
- Multidisciplinary view enabling integration of multiple products into coherent propositions.
- Self-driven and highly energetic work style.
- English and Spanish fluency.
