In this role you will oversee and develop a multi-level sales team to achieve growth and retention objectives for maintenance services, insurance, and commercial business. You will work under the guidance of a Senior VP of Sales and a local DOS, with a tailored development plan to prepare for future DOS opportunities. You will drive strategic marketing initiatives, strengthen customer relationships, and lead efforts to reduce lost business while delivering Ryder’s value proposition. This role offers a path to broader leadership and strategic impact within a growth-focused sales organization.

Responsibilities
- Direct, manage and develop a multi-level sales force to grow and retain accounts
- Plan, organize, and lead activities to achieve short and long-term growth and retention goals
- Deliver Ryder value proposition through customer interactions and team leadership with financial executives
- Develop and implement strategic/tactical marketing initiatives for the assigned territory
- Lead processes to retain and grow current customers and expand opportunities
- Interface with customers and prospects to maximize opportunities across Ryder products/services
- Understand competitor strengths/weaknesses and execute competitive strategy
- Ensure growth and retention goals for new and replacement business
- Support Ryder initiatives to reduce lost business by meeting/exceeding customer expectations
- Provide sales functional leadership and expertise for the assigned territory
- Assist in selecting, training, and developing high-caliber sales professionals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in Related field
- Experience in managing staff required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Business acumen and effective leadership skills
- Flexibility and self-motivation in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
