Responsibilities

  • Define and document common DC processes and best practices; ensure adherence across the network
  • Lead Labor Management programs, develop engineered standards and pay-for-performance incentives
  • Design, configure, and support Labor Management systems (Manhattan LM, Time Clock, Time Study data capture) with IT and vendors
  • Identify optimization opportunities in DC methods, layouts, equipment and cost reduction; drive cross-functional alignment
  • Oversee DC Slotting program and Manhattan Slotting Optimization; train DCs on strategies and processes
  • Develop annual departmental budget, DC savings targets, and manage capital expenditures
  • Support growth of DC network including new DC design, layout and startup; assist with equipment sourcing
  • Hire, train, and lead Industrial Engineering and Subject Matter Expert teams; coaching and development
  • Develop external partnerships to augment capabilities and drive innovation
  • Measure and report DC performance; define KPIs and support network planning
  • Assist in developing, optimizing, and automating reporting tools and deployments across DCs
  • Manage OPEX, EH&S, and continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma methodology
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver on-time, expected results
  • Participate in budget planning and align IE strategies with Supply Chain leadership

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field
  • 5-7 years in a retail distribution center environment with leadership of direct reports
  • Experience with engineered labor standards and incentive programs
  • Experience with Warehouse Management and Labor Management systems (Manhattan WM/LM preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of labor management and incentives; strong analytical abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of retail DC operations
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
