Lead the RUM Applied AI team focused on Error Tracking and Real User Monitoring (RUM) within Datadog. You’ll guide a small team, partner with product counterparts, and drive AI-enabled improvements that enhance frontend monitoring and error investigation workflows. You’ll shape the product roadmap, raise the bar for AI development, and deliver robust solutions that reduce customer frictions. This role combines people leadership with hands-on engineering and strategic product influence, across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 3 engineers and an intern
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate AI into Error Tracking and RUM products for better UX
- Foster a strong team culture aligned with engineering standards and customer focus
- Participate in hands-on work: code reviews, design reviews, and some coding
Key requirements
- 1+ years of experience leading AI engineering or Data Science teams as a people manager
- Ability to translate product requirements into production-ready AI solutions
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills for building high-performing teams
- Entrepreneurial, product-oriented mindset focused on delivering value to end users
- Track record of delivering high-quality software leveraging AI on schedule and working with product partners
- Hands-on leader comfortable with technical challenges
